As a hostel I don’t have many expectations other than expecting it to be pretty dirty and smell bad- which it lived up to and I am fine with.. being a hostel and all. However, no noise curfew? How is anyone going to get sleep while dealing with the heat and general grossness of the place when the guests have no enforced noise curfew?? I got like max 3 hours sleep due to yelling and screaming drunk guests blasting music all night. I get that it’s a hostel but wow surely atleast a 12/1am noise curfew??? And all that for $70 a night. Genuinely a park bench would be as good if not better than this place.

Only been here for 1 day so far and having such a good time, staff are helpful. Kitchen is clean and the social area is amazing. Everyone is so kind and wanting to socialize Highly recommend!

Really nice hostel. It’s a very friendly one with an open and social plan that gives it a big backpacker feel. The staff are great and the receptionist really helped us out when we didn’t have anywhere to stay. The transport routes are nearby and there is a Cole’s and Wollys close too :)

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was beautiful. Lovely kitchen, lounge and outdoor area, all very spacious and kept clean, big tv and free pool table too! Beds were clean and rooms were maintained every morning by housekeepers. Everyone there was super friendly and up for a chat, the receptionist that checked me in was very sweet and showed me around the entire place. Would recommend to anyone looking to backpack in Newcastle!

One of the best hostels to stay! Rooms are cozy, kitchen open all night, staff really helpful. Would definitely come back.

Don’t go there if you travel by greyhound. You will have to pay extra for staying longer than 3pm on the day you check out. I have never been to a Hostel which has such an outdated house policy. Staff was unfriendly and definitely needs to …
